There are now a number of ethical cycling clothing brands making high quality kit. When it comes to finding sustainable clothing, the important things to look for are what materials it is made from and where it was made. We’ve compiled a list of 5 great sustainable cycling clothing brands.

Patagonia
Not necessarily the first brand you think of for cycling, but Patagonia offers a range of ethical cycling clothing, mostly based around mountain biking. Clothing such as these sustainable cycling shorts.
Like us, Patagonia is a certified B Corp and 1% for the planet member. The founder of the company, Yvon Chouinard has also transferred ownership of the company to the Patagonia Purpose Trust, which is dedicated to fighting climate change.

Alpkit
Alpkit are another sustainable cycle clothing brand that, like us, is a B Corp. They offer both road and mountain bike clothing, including these eco-friendly shorts and bibs in both mens and womens.
Alpkit’s sustainability strategy is based around six principles. Reduce Reuse Repair Recycle, Respect our environment, Treat animals humanely, Work with people we believe in, Build a better business, Give back. Like Bikmo, they also transparently share their sustainability impact report.

Vaude
Vaude offers a variety of sustainable clothing including cycling options. They offer clothing for men, women and children, as well as bikepacking gear such as front/rear panniers and handlebars, frame + saddle bags.
The company’s headquarters have been fully climate-neutral since 2012, with all of their products also becoming climate-neutral this year in 2022. They also provide a fully transparent sustainability report.

Presca
Presca produces a range of road cycling and triathlon clothing made sustainably, from environmentally friendly materials using an ethical supply chain. The company also offers a repair, replace and trade-in service, allowing people to reuse cycle clothing and reduce waste.
The business is a 1% for the planet member and aiming to become a B Corp too. The business is net zero with all of their operations and supply chains and publishes their annual emissions report each year.

Attacus
Attacus is a UK based brand offering a range of road, off-road and casual sustainable cycle clothing. They offer a range of clothing made from 100% recycled material and are committed to using sustainable fabrics. Their off-road clothing is also Fair Wear Foundation certified.
The company has committed to planting one tree per order. They uniquely offer a free wash bag to customers, which helps preserve the life of cycle clothing, as well as offering crash repair service.
