Here's what Jerrod had to say

I run a youth road racing team, but we also use the cycle insurance to cover our family bikes, which include a variety of road, cyclo-cross, track, time trial and vintage machines.

We had just finished a stage race in Yorkshire and began our journey home. As we joined the M62 my son’s road racing bike, which attached to our professional bike carrier, became detached and departed the vehicle, causing a lot of damage to the bike, wheels and components. The cause of the detachment is still under investigation but it was essentially accidental damage.

We arrived home on Sunday, pretty annoyed, frustrated and upset. We contacted Bikmo Plus on Monday morning and our claim handler was very polite, efficient and helpful and was able to expedite the claim through the loss adjuster at Hiscox. I was advised to have the damage assessed by the team sponsor “Buy-A-Bike” in Chorley, who went on to prepare a damage report for Hiscox. As soon as the report was submitted and reviewed, within a very short period, notification was sent that the claim had been successful and that an electronic payment was being processed.

I had the money in my account within 1 week from notifying Bikmo Plus – amazing!
