£1,000 payment

A one-off payment of £1,000 per child to help with loss of income, additional expenses and to support you should you decide to spend some valuable time with your family.

Multi-child payments

You can claim for each child born, for example you’ll be paid £2,000 for twins or £3,000 for triplets.

Inclusive cover

Either parent is able to claim, and the cover is also available if your child is adopted.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a claim for a new-child payment?

New parents who have been an active Deliveroo rider for at least 6 months prior to the birth can claim a one-off payment of £1,000 to help with loss of income and additional expenses.

You must have completed a minimum of 30 orders in the 8 weeks prior to the claim, or 60 orders in the 6 months prior to the birth if you are the natural mother of the child.

What if we’re having a multiple birth eg. twins or triplets.

The cover provided offers a one-off payment of £1,000 per child. If you have twins, then you will receive £2,000 to help with lost income and additional expenses

You can only claim once in any 12 month period.

Who is eligible for the new-child payment?

The one-off new child payment is designed to assist with  lost income and additional expenses associated with having a new child including adoptions.

 

The cover is available to active riders who have been registered with Deliveroo for a minimum of 6 months, and  have completed a minimum of 30 orders in the 8 weeks prior to the claim, or 60 orders in the 6 months prior to the birth if you are the natural mother of the child.

You can only claim once in any 12 month period, and if both parents are Deliveroo riders then only one benefit will be paid.

Substitute riders are not eligible for this benefit.

Are adopted children covered?

Yes, the cover provided a one-off £1,000 payment for an adopted child, and if you adopt more than one child at the same time you can claim multiple payments
