GOSPORT BMX
Chairman Darren Fells told us how GoSport BMX’s national standard track is open to any rider, free of charge!
“Gosport BMX Club have been at their current location for 17 years. We pride ourselves on being a club that is open to all. Our track is of a national standard that is open to any rider free of charge throughout the week.
We offer regular coaching sessions on Saturdays and run a very successful club series throughout the summer. At present, the club are currently ranked No 1 in the South Region and 3rd Nationally.

Gosport BMX was the regional winner for the South of the Bikmo’s British Cycling Club of the Year 2023.
As such, they received a £100 towards their club.
“The £100 will be going towards our new jump straight. The jump straight will be built to help newer riders in their jumping skills.”
Their entry to the competition was a surprise to chairman Darren, as they told us that he has has worked tirelessly over the years to take the club from riding bikes around a plot of land, to now having a track being of a national standard.
They also told us how the club has riders on the track aged from 2 to 70+, and that there are plans to organise a ladies BMX Exercise group at the track once a week.
Just before Christmas in 2022, after being on the cards for many years, they finally had floodlights installed.
“With the development of lights, two of our British Cycling qualified lady coaches have been discussing how we can add more ladies on bikes and how to get a BMX Exercise group going at the track once a week under the floodlights.”
