No – we like simple at Bikmo. It doesn’t matter what type of bikes you ride, you can add them all onto one Bikmo Triathlon Insurance policy, and that’s how our multi-bike discount works.

So whether you own 3 bikes yourself, you’re insuring the family rides, or you ride multi-disciplines, you set two insured values… the combined total value of the bikes you’re insuring and the value you take away from home on rides.

We get it, entering races is expensive, that’s why we included a €500 Event fee benefit as standard with a Bikmo Triathlon Insurance policy.

This provides peace of mind that you’re covered for a non-refundable event entry fee if you’re unable to attend due to something entirely beyond your control. So, set yourself a target and go get that PB!

Fear not. So long as you leave your bike in the dedicated transition area specified by the event organiser, then your triathlon bike and kit are covered for theft and damage with your Bikmo Triathlon Insurance policy when you’re out on the swim or the run.

You just need to concentrate on a fast transition!

We apply the Sold Secure lock rating system to our policy requirements; it’s easy to follow and used by the cycling industry – www.soldsecure.com.

Locks are rated for their level of security, and we set a value of bike that is covered by each rating: Bronze (up to €300), Silver (€301 – €1700) and Gold (over €1700).

If your Sold Secure approved U lock comes with an additional wire cable, the cable is not included in the approved rating, it’s just the lock. This means that if you secured the bike through the frame to an immovable object, with the cable only, you wouldn’t be covered!

If you leave your bike unattended away from your home, it’ll need to be locked. There’s times at home too, depending on how you store it, so check out our Locking guide for full details on our requirements.

Yes – we designed Bikmo Triathlon Insurance exactly for this type of need. You get a minimum of €250 or 10% of the total sum insured towards both clothing and accessories.

So if you insure €4,000 of bikes then you’ll get €400 of cover towards your Garmin and €400 of cover towards your wetsuit and other clothing.

Bikmo Triathlon Insurance provides the same cover abroad as when you’re in the ROI, and covers your bike and kit for 90 days worldwide.
