Your free insurance will simply expire at the end of the 14 day period and no payment will be taken – we don’t take your payment details.
We’ll send reminders to let you know when your cover ends and, at any time, you have the option to take out a full policy with Bikmo so that you stay insured.
We want to help riders enjoy their new bike worry-free, and by giving away free insurance we allow people to do so.
Hopefully you like what you see with Bikmo, and you choose to stay insured by taking out a full policy. If not, don’t worry, there’s no charge and we won’t spam you into submission like you might think!
If you accidentally damage your bike, or it’s stolen, during the 14 day free insurance period, we will either repair or replace your bike. If we replace your bike this will be new-for-old.
No. Claims under your free cycle insurance are excess-free.
To meet our locking requirements by locking your bike securely and correctly, you must lock your MiRider:
- Using a Sold Secure approved lock – appropriate to the value of your bike (for MiRiDERS, these must be Gold or Diamond rated)
- Through the frame – either through the gap above the bottom bracket or through the top part of the chainset protection wheel mount
- To an immovable object – a fixed solid object, such as a cycle stand
