James is a key member of the Customer Experience team, and is very well thought of by the customers and team alike. If it’s tarmac based, James is in his element, and he’s growing to love the muddy stuff too.
James is a tech geek at heart. Whether it’s a photo or video he’s working on, he can click a mouse almost as quick as he rides. With a new focused approach to his training, be sure to look out for him on the local roads testing his FTP.

What bikes do you own?
An aluminium Canyon Ultimate, the ‘ultimate’ winter hack/commuter bike, as well as the Sunday best, a Colnago Concept.
A custom geometry Festka One with ENVE SES 4.5s, Campagnolo Super Record EPS and THM finishing kit. Tasty!
Favourite ride or trail?
A particular favourite of mine starts off in the Cheshire planes before heading towards the hills of north Wales, topping out at the famous Horseshoe Pass. Finish that off with 20km decent straight to my front door and you’ve got yourself a winner.
Alberto Contador – I could watch him dance up climbs all day long, the man’s got style.
Favourite cafe/coffee shop?
Cleopatra’s in Holt – nothing to write home about, but the location is perfect for a cafe stop and the staff never bat an eyelid, however outrageous of an outfit you show up in.
Coffee of choice?
Flat white, although I’m still not quite sure what it actually is.
What motivates you about riding?
Where do I even start? The feeling of adventure & exploration, the sensation of speed, the satisfaction I get from setting & achieving new goals, the list is truly endless.
Riding tunes (turbo…obviously)?
The kind of music you’d usually hear blasted from a Vauxhall Corsa stereo in town centres. The beat must be big enough to distract me from the torture that I’m putting myself through.
When not riding, where can we find you?
Feet up, coffee in one hand, browsing the internet for bike parts that I can’t afford with the other.
Favourite thing about Bikmo?
Talking about bikes. Whether that be with my colleagues, or our customers. About top end race machines, or rusty old single speeds. There’s always an interesting conversation to be had for a bike nerd like myself.
